Stocks Reservoir
Stocks Reservoir is situated at the head of the Hodder valley in the Forest of Bowland, Lancashire, England (historically in the West Riding of Yorkshire until 1974).
Stocks Reservoir covers an area of approximately 340 acres and is 6.2 miles around at top water level. The reservoir holds approximately 3,000 million gallons and was built with a maximum depth of 103 ft. At the time of its opening in 1932, some 13,096,764 gallons of water per day were available for supply to the Fylde, whilst 6,548,382 gallons were available for compensation back into the River Hodder below the dam.
