PNP police officers received training from U.S. Army, Operational Detachment-Alpha Special Forces operators to increase their capabilities in support of counterdrug efforts during JIATF West. The mission of JIATF West is to reduce threats in the Asia-Pacific by combating drug related transnational organized crime.
