On Track
Last weekend was my first time being at the site of the Cronin Downs soap box derbies behind Flint Southwestern Academy High School.
The soap box derby ramp is a familiar site to anyone in Genesee County who has driven along this stretch of I-69 between downtown and the I-75 interchange (which means pretty much everybody).
My older brother had a friend who once tried to skateboard down this ramp, and he gained so much momentum that he had to bail. I think my brother mentioned that his friend tore himself up pretty badly.
Ah, the Eighties.
