Boojum Tree
The Boojum Tree's name comes from a Lewis Carroll poem, and was first used to describe this unusual desert plant by a professor in Tucson. I saw my first Boojum in Tucson when I was housesitting for a local poet, Richard Shelton. He had one in his yard. It was about 4 ft tall, and looked like a christmas tree. The one pictured here is about 20ft high.
