Russian Puppets

Five russian puppets. The little guy seems to be on to something that his older kins don't see.

 

 

The lightning comes from the back-left where there's a window, as well as from my flash which was on the left and bounced on the ceiling. There was also ambient light from far-away windows, of course.

 

I moved a fern into the background. I find that the reflection it gives on the glass table adds a little extra something.

 

I was able to get the effect I wanted with the depth of field, but I got some vignetting. I could have Photoshopped it out, but I found that it provided greater emphasis on the puppets and a more surreal setting. I think I'd have added a vignette anyways.

 

I adjusted the levels, added a tiny bit of contrast, and modified the colors a bit with hue/saturation. A bit of healing brush to take care of dust (though I'd just cleaned the table!) There's also the usual border.
