6/52 Perspective

Week 6, 2011

Well, so much for catching up. I am resigned to the fact that I will not have much time to spend here in the flickr-verse until I finally finish school at the end of April. So please bear with me being a terrible flickr friend until then!

The weather finally warmed up this week to a temperature where I could at least go on a very short photo walk without completing freezing (though my fingers were pretty close). Since I didn’t want to go far I tried to revisit some of my favorite locations near my house and shoot them from a different angle. It was a good plan and something I will have to do again as it got me appreciating details and lines I usually don’t notice. This is a bridge that I done several city-scapes from, looking down the river, but this time I focused on the bridge itself. I was doing a lot of long exposures with the tripod but this was hand held, hastily composed when I saw the people just starting to walk from the other end. I’m pretty happy with the result and I’m looking forward to the weather starting to turn so I can get out in the city more often.
