Zed Shaw created the Mongrel webserver for Ruby coded web applications. He was there at defcon giving a talk about his new conceptual communications system, "Utu". He was a really cool guy and he went to dinner with the 5 of us after the talk and hung out at some parties for a while.

 

Here we are riding in this insane limo that my friend Shaun got us to ride to the Aladdin, er, "Planet Hollywood" hotel.
