Just Got Stuck In!

For "Macro Mondays" Group theme "Vibrant Minimalism"

It is useful to have an idea as the basis for trying out something, and the MM weekly challenge is providing this for me this week.

Firstly, this is an attempt to get a seamless table-top and back-drop - aiming to get rid of a horizon. I've used a piece of coarse felt material and the result looks promising.

Secondly, I'm looking at the capabilities of the minute lenses produced for the Pentax 110 SLR film camera made over 40 years ago. Here I'm trying the 50mm again and as expected needed an extension ring to get down to the 3 inch limit of MM. The result has a certain charm and not quite the 'bite' I might have got from a 'better' vintage or a more modern digital lens. I'm not displeased though.

Thirdly, I was trying to get a sharper and more defined shadow of the pin - the rather coarse felt hasn't helped here, but it's better than my first attempt.
