Looking for the stars!
For 'Macro Mondays' theme of 'Ribbon'
Not what I imagined I would produce on a Sunday evening.
Firstly I couldn't find the piece of ribbon I was looking for and had to make do with something else that looked vaguely interesting. This is a piece of ribbon that was wrapped around a chocolate box from a Christmas long past, and forgotten!
I dropped the ribbon onto my table-top and the lit it with just one light. Wanting to get really close I used a macro lens with an extension tube. That got me really close with minimal depth of field and produced a bit of that star bokeh the lens is renown for.
Virtually no post-processing other than a colour adjustment.
Am I pleased with the result - not particularly but it was a change from photographing bottles and at least it goes along with my philosophy of keeping things simple (KISS).
And now I'll probably find the piece of ribbon I was looking for!
