Plastic
For 'Macro Mondays' theme of 'Plastic'
One aspect of gardening that I do notice is the packing of bulbs in plastic mesh bags. They seem to come in several colours, several thicknesses, and several different sorts of mesh.
This is the third type of mesh I tried for this week's theme and even now I haven't got the sort of result I was attempting to achieve. However, it is often the case that I start off with an idea and then it morphs into something quite different. I did eventually realise that my 'go-to' point and shoot camera was going to give me a greater depth of field than any of the 'fancy' bits and bobs that I have. And to get a sharp shadow over my table-top lamp I had to put a black paper sleeve with a small hole in the centre.
Quite a remarkable point and shoot camera. I discovered that most of the post-processing adjustments that I sometimes do can be done in-camera before I even take the photo.
So with just one significant post-process, this is what I finally achieved. And, yes, I have captured the shadow of the piece of plastic mesh that I cut from a bulb bag.
