Helsinki - Ukraine Memorial Candles
This was from the "Light A Candle for Ukraine" event in Senate Square Helsinki on the 24th February 2025 - 3 years into the Russia / Ukraine invasion.
After our reindeer meat meal in the restaurant opposite Senate Square in Helsinki the capital of Finland, we returned to where the thousands had attended to take some more images of the very moving event.
People were wandering around in silence just looking at the candles - some 2,000 were given out by the organisers in the early evening and others could bring their own if they wished.
There is no more I can add.
