simpsons
As with many things Simpsons related, a brilliant parody of the "Helen of Toy" war games advertisements, including the "Task Force" ad I posted earlier.
This comes from the Radioactive Man #216 issue under the Bongo Entertainment imprint around 1994. The entire issue parodies a 1972 comic book including the ads.
The "Vietnam War Fun Set" is black comedy at it's best. The tagline is a pitch-perfect satire of the "Task Force" copy: There is no imagination necessary here!!! You get the equipment, the battlefield and the official rules on how to Locate, Occupy, Bomb,Maim, Mutilate, Torture and Destroy the enemy. This is not just another juvenile game - it is actually enjoyed by over 300,000 red-blooded Americans, including many high ranking members of our real Armed Forces!
