The wolf makes a spectacular leap at the elk
The wolf followed the bank to get as near as possible to the elk. The wolf came to the water’s edge while never taking its eyes of the elk. I wasn’t certain just what the wolf would do, but I kept my lens centered on the wolf, and then it jumped for the elk’s neck. This began the most exciting struggle of the day.
