206 "ALCHEMY" by Jensen Knives
206: I’ve Dykem’d an edge of a bolster and scribed a line for where I want the bottom of the bezels to settle, and give me both the secure fit and the visual effect I want. Don’t forget there will be two depth measurements; taking into consideration the height of two different sized bezels; the 4mm bezels and the 5mm bezel. Depending where the set stones lies along surface after the much later process of curving the handle, the bezel set stones may be a little bit more visible on the low surface spots. In some spots, especially along the top and bottom, there may have been so much handle material removed, that there is not sufficient meat to securely hold the press-fit bezels any more. This may mean that the countersunk-holes for the bezels may have to be re-countersunk a little bit deeper after curving the surface.
