404 "ALCHEMY" by Jensen Knives
404: This is my NEW replacement handle material for the "ALCHEMY" scales. Fossil Mastodon Ivory with some very unusual grayish blue coloring, with bits of green, rust and black /brown coloring.
I screwed the 1st set up... It rarely happens, but I've had this foreboding feeling about them since day one, just when I thought I got through everything with no issues, I screwed them up in the stupidest way: I had them soaking in Nail polish remover for about an hour just to draw out a little bit of sharpie marker that had seeped into them. I took them out, but I had an appointment and forgot to screw them back down to the liners or clamp them to a piece of steel before I left. The combo of them being immersed in liquid, and then left out in a very hot studio for a day and a half, warped them! Ivories are very prone to warpage and you have to be careful... dumb mistake.
It's OK, I like the new set better!
