4: Here is a pic of the twisting process. At the proper temp, steel becomes quite “plastic”, and easy to move and manipulate. One end of a drawn out and squared bar is placed in a vice, while the other end is secured by a large pipe wrench. This is a 2-person process. You grab the pipe wrench and, TWIST. One bar is twisted to the right, the other to the left. The bar may need to be repeatedly re-heated depending on how tight a twist you want. In the photo here, this is still a pretty loose twist.
