the shot I forgot I took
Yep. I totally forgot about this shot. I took about the same time I nailed another shot of this tree with some Velvia 50 in my Nikon F5, so this shot fell by the wayside until I found it today in my files.
I desaturated the greens a touch, but I shot this thing in jpg - I made no other adjustments. Detractors who have never been to the Gardens during the fall think we're all full of shit, that we saturate the hell out of our images, and that nothing is this incredible in life. Well, bite me, because when this tree GOES it's AMAZING. I have the slide film to prove it. :)
I *hope* we have a good fall up at the Gardens - last year was pretty "meh" thanks to all the rain. It's just about that time of year when I start neurotically checking the Gardens daily...
