Kickback
After cars were unloaded, the next full car shoved the empty out the back side of the McMyler where it rolled down an incline, and then up into the "kickback" area. As the car's momentum sent it up into this area, it would roll over a spring switch. The car would then roll back out and off the pier on the exit track.
The end of the pier and kickback area were damaged by fire some years ago and the remaining tracks hang in the air, but you can still make out the spring switch.
