RayGun Gothic Rocketship

A dust storm rages as the "launch" of The Raygun Gothic Rocket is postponed. This piece was created by Sean Orlando, Nathaniel Taylor, David Shulman, and John Manyjohns.

As the event was delayed, there were a lot of rude and self-absorbed people who showed up at the last minute and moved in front of everyone who had been waiting for hours (putting their heads in front of my camera, then verbally assaulting me when I asked politely if they could respect the people who had been waiting hours there already). If there's one thing that I hate, it's people who walk around flaunting their feeling of entitlement (at the expense of everyone else around them). So much for Burning Man's "gift culture"... as great as it can be with the majority of attendees, some people still seem to think it's all about them taking whatever gifts and privileges they can grab from others. Oh well, people like that are their own worst nightmares, creating a bubble of negativity wherever they go, which they then live in.

I didn't have the patience to sit through this storm for more hours to see what the show would be, if it wasn't called off entirely due to wind. Fortunately the weather and lighting turned out to be perfect for this shot!
