Color Your World

Yellowstone National Park had so many incredible colors across the landscape, but the most vibrant came from bacteria. The hot water from the geyser basins is home to different colored bacteria, depending on the exact temperature. At West Thumb Geyser Basin, this meant that the water flowing out into Yellowstone Lake almost resembled an orange lava. The dark clouds coming in only accentuated the color.
