A Spring Show of Color

This fine fellow was sunning on one of our plant stands in our backyard this afternoon.....and I patiently watched him for some time.
Eventually, he noticed me and started showing off by displaying his brightly colored dewlap under his throat.
This was taken with a Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 lens coupled with a Nikon 20 TCE lll teleconverter. I shot it with my Nikon D7000 from about six feet away. The teleconverter and the use of the DX body gives the combination an effective focal length of 600mm.
