Eye-to-Eye With Screech Owl

This is a permanently injured owl who is a resident at Ryserson Woods. The care taker took him out of the enclosure for us to get a better look during our photography workshop.

 

I didn't notice at the time of the photograph, but the image in the owl's eyes is the fence we were standing behind.
