I chose this little group because the flower that really stands out is the rosy Indian paintbrush, Castilleja rhexifolia -- that color really seems to glow. It may defy description as well--it certainly is not rosy, or purple, or pink. What do you call that color?

 

My significant other says it is magenta.

 

I am less sure of the others. I think the one with droopy yellow petals is longleaf arnica, Arnica longifolia. The one with lavender petals may be leafy aster, Aster foliaceus.

 

So there is much I do not know about this frame, other than this natural composition caught my eye in a mountain meadow resplendent with wildflowers.
