Jeff Engelhardt
Alright, this might be the last one . .
Jeffery the Sandman
Was a-climbing up a dune
With a backpack
That weighed 30lbs
Oh, thank god it wasn't June
Jeffery the sandman
Thinks that all of you should know
I didn't start that way
but by the end of day
I was sand from head to toe
There must have been some magic
In the silica out there
Shooting from my knees
Then the lightest breeze
And the sand stuck in my hair*
Jeffery the sandman
Sure began to get the blues
Shooting was sublime
But took so much time
To empty sand out of my shoes
*Yes, to the surprise of some, I do in fact still have some hair on my head. Ironically, it was just enough to provide the grains of sand some shelter. Or at least it appeared that way, judging by how many decided to stay there.
