Bones of Luna Park

During a couple spells each year in summer Seattle gets negative tides - ones that fall two or three feet below the typical lowest tides the rest of the year. At these times, interesting things present themselves. Above are some of the remnants of the old pier at Luna Park, once one of the largest amusement parks on the west coast. It was all burned (somewhat suspiciously) close to 100 years ago.

 

Below is my Michael Levin / Kenna style version of another shot from thsi same day. Fun as this style is, I'm seeing it *way* too much lately, and I really feel like I'm needing to try something a little different . . .
