*10-1-09* (Day 274) - No Swimming
Ahh a sign that global climate shift is real and occuring, the fact that I'm posting a photo today with a theme of "no swimming". Up until last week, we were experiencing mid to upper 70's, and I guess it wouldn't have been completely inconceivable that someone coulda went it for a quick swim. That was September, this is October now, and the mid to upper 70's have given way to 50 degree temperatures and wind gusts of 35-40 mph. In those regards, that is typical Duluth, crazy temperature drops and spikes coming and going, up and down like a rollercoaster, from one day to the next. The fact was we had a pretty abnormally warm September, but that doesn't mean I didn't still appreciate it and really get used to it. Alas it's not all bad, with temperatures finally dropping and it really starting to finally feel like fall, it's time for pumpkin pie, wearing my hoodie daily and all the trees having colored leaves (I'm still waiting for the leaf change to take full effect)
Yessss, my dream of having a second photo in explore has now come true, it dropped out at #430 on Oct. 1st, 09. Ok, now to figure out how to get a third one explored...
