The Upper Slot Canyons
I always have to visit the Slot Canyons in Page whenever I visit Arizona. October is not a good month to try and capture the famous light rays but it is not nearly as crowded as other times. You must be on a tour. I always opt for a photo tour so I can take my tripod in. There was only one other person on the tour with me so it was not as crazy as it can be. This place can be a real zoo with people everywhere and guides yelling at people to get out of the way. It is still an amazing place and well worth a visit if you are in the area. The upper Canyons are much more accessible than the Lower Slot Canyons. The first time I visited this area I went to the lower Canyons and they are amazing. You enter the lower slot canyons via an opening in the ground...you basically slide in and then the only way out is up a very tall ladder at the end. For the upper Slot Canyons you just walk in and walk out.
