Beaver Brothers Explorer Canoes
Westernland
Tokyo Disneyland
This canoe attraction is a Disneyland staple, dating back to 1950s era Disneyland. Disney continued the tradition when they opened Florida's Magic Kingdom and later in Tokyo Disneyland. While the Magic Kingdom lost their canoes a while back for whatever reason, Tokyo Disneyland's canoes are still going strong, as seen here. What struck me as I was hanging out on this morning just watching the canoes go by was how much fun everybody seemed to have. Almost every single person was smiling as they passed, and they almost always waved and smiled at me when they saw my camera pointed in their direction. It's not just the parks themselves that are different in Tokyo; the cultural differences alone make for a much different experience.
