Day #1: The weather later in the week is going to be iffy, so I decided to brave the winds and take down the garland and wreath from the house. January is here... sigh.
Day #2: Finishing out the night with my Bible. I'm part of a bunch of folks who are taking the year to read the Gospels together and spend time talking about what God is telling us. Love being a part of this!
Day #3: Julia has started "dancing" to the music of a favorite toy. It plays different songs and she has different dances for each. I love her enthusiasm for her newfound fun!
Day #4: Jocelyn tries a new recipe. One pan lasagna! Yum!
Day #5: We've noticed an increase in the Earth's gravitational pull since the holidays (read: the news from the scale was not good), so we're hittin' the mall to get some exercise!
Day #6: An evening ritual - for months now, Julia finishes out the day watching Baby Signing Time. She absolutely loves it and sometimes gets really excited and roars at the TV!
Day 7: We had a mercy mission out in Ann Arbor with the Carnills, so we couldn't resist a trip to Zingerman's!
Day #9: Got together to pray with a great group of people who want to launch a recovery program for teens. Love this group of people!
Day #8: Hanging with our favorite Steeler fans. Pittsburg is going to have to get something going. Good thing the sweet potato fries are a hit!
Day #10: Julia had a rough day today with those teeth coming in, so it was nice to finish out the night with some contented time at her activity table. Here's to a quiet, restful night for our little girl.
Day #11: Always a great night getting down to the North American International Auto Show with some friends for a preview!
Day #12: The line-up of toys after routine cleaning at Julia's daycare. A little creepy.
Day #13: Self Portrait
Day #14: This is a Vacuum Switching Valve for a 2002 Toyota Camry and the latest casualty in my DIY ways. It broke during a routine air filter change and a $15 repair ended up costing $65. Glad I got away that cheap.
Day #15: I've run a temperature since yesterday morning, so now we're bringing out the big guns: Jocelyn's homemade Pasta Fagioli Soup!
Day #16: Working on blog post tonight. Got something really important to talk about. Hope it comes to me before midnight.
Day #17: Heart Day Family Celebration! Julia's one year anniversary of her heart surgery!
Day #18: Residential Home Health Employee Rally at the Gem Theatre - Best Vibe in Detroit tonight!
Day #19: Fun Date Night at the Fox Theatre!
Day #20: Julia's afternoon ~ her first haircut (not a fan), lunch with dad and some time for contemplation after her nap.
Day #21: My backup camera bit the biscuit. Off to Canon service... Bleh.
Day #22: Cribbage ~ one of the few medications for midwinter cabin fever.
Day #23: Headed home with some co-conspirators after a benchmarking trip at Brighton Nazarene Church
Day #24: Julia is still very into her cards!
Day #26: Dinner with Julia while Mom gets a night out.
Day #25: Pastors' breakfast with some friends from Israel/Palestine learning the stages of reconciliation that they have discovered.
Day #27: Took some time to check out the Rembrandt Exhibit at the DIA. Very crowded but very good. Take a morning off and go.
Day #28: A Celebration of Julia's Eyelashes...
Day #29: Greek Omelette in the hometown Coney I worked at twenty five years ago!
Day #30: Julia is doing her best to keep it together while Mom's away at her Bible study! Please pray for Dad!
Day #31: Daycare Homecoming Ritual
Day #32: Julia's Early On teacher showing our daycare staff some therapy techniques. Humbled by their dedication!
Day #33: Hearing from our lead pastor about releasing our ministries to others. Challenging.
Day #34: A year's work realized - vision night for a new marriage mentoring initiative at our church.
Day #35: Busy day - Mentor Training and a Party for some dear friends and a portrait sitting for Julia!
Day #36: Lazy Sunday afternoon strolling through town. Brain running at about 30%. Nice.
Day #37: Watching as a friend shares his story of healing. Love to watch God at work through our stories.
Day #38: Julia doesn't seem to be interested in taking her medicine...
Day #39: Bath time
Day #40: This is Sydney, our tightly wound Siamese cat. She's not been the same since Julia showed up.
Day #41: Over 500 couples attended Date Night at Kensington Troy and the joint is jumping!
Day #42: Woke up to 11° and 4" of snow. And I have to go clear the driveway. Great.
Day #43: Grandpa's back Michigan! Hooray!

Day #45: Best Valentine's Day - dessert and an episode of Downton Abbey with my sweetie!
Day #46: Julia likes finishing the night watching Grover on Mom's iPhone. She always grins at the same spot in the story.
Day #47: Date Night with my baby! We're seeing the one on the top of the billing!
Day #48: Project for the Day - new valve stems in the shower. Completed! <insert applause here>
Day #49: Great visit this evening with the Coons!
Day #50: Brighter evening skies - I gotta believe that Spring is coming!
Day #51: The view of my bedroom ceiling as I doze. G'night people.
Day #52: So proud to watch my sister in Christ, Tracy, represent for Celebrate Recovery!
