I'm using this photo in order to remember a childhood friend who was the victim of domestic abuse. Sadly, her life was taken by someone she loved, trusted, and ultimately feared.... Her husband. The truth is that 1 in 4 women will be the victim of violence and most women refuse to leave their abuser. In NJ alone domestic abuse has risen by 2% since 2011. I wish to remember my friend as someone who loved life and was as vibrant as the sun and the stars!!
