Serendipity

After standing and waiting for sunrise along the shore of Wedge Pond in Kananaskis, Alberta with several other photographers, I eventually gave up as the morning fog was so thick that it almost totally obscured the mountains. Disappointed, I hiked back up to my car and began to unload my gear. Within seconds of unloading, the fog began to lift. I ended up loving the views from the upper ridge of the pond with the distant snow-capped mountains so much that I never made my way back to the shoreline, maybe next time.
