Virgin Megastore Orlando (Inside)

These photos are of the Virgin Megastore in Downtown Disney, Orlando, Florida.

 

This store and the other six remaining US stores are slated to be closed by this summer (2009). The Associated Press has reported that the stores have remained profitable; however, the joint venture which purchased Virgin Entertainment Group Inc. in 2007, decided that the lure of higher rents for the space occupied by many of the stores was just too appealing.

 

For better or worse this seems like truly the end of era.
