I had a really good evening watching a short eared owl, unfortunately it was very dull. The owl briefly met its mate and they whirled around higher and higher and I thought that they had vanished for the evening. As is usually the case though, they didn't stay together for long and one came back in my direction. I was near a bit of a pond when some noisy Canada Geese came flying in, I had the camera set for hares at ground level not fast moving birds in the sky and I couldn't change settings fast enough.
