Fight! Army combatives
Soldiers from the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) participate in a "clinch drill" during a Level 1 Army Combatives Course hosted by the 289th Military Police Company on the Fort Myer portion of Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall April 6. The goal of the drill is for Soldiers to achieve a clinch while being pummeled by an instructor. This portion of the course is intended to desensitize Soldiers to being struck during hand-to-hand combat.
