Looper kill

The early 1990s Hemlock Looper kill is still plainly evident along the McBride to Purden Mountain stretch 20 years later with the dead hemlock and cedar snags looming as a stark reminder of the swath it cut out of the forest. When the adults emerged, driving at night was like being in a blizzard because of the moth density. June 21, 2012.
