Summit Lake, Alaska Highway

There are at least four Summit Lakes in BC. This is the most northerly which lies at the highest point of the Alaska Highway at Mile 392. The west end of the lake drains to the west and the east end drains to the east. But the water from both sides eventually ends up in the Liard River and then into the Mackenzie down to the Arctic Ocean. Yes, it was windy. Taken July 21, 2008. A panorama of about 7 vertical shots.
