233/365 - Knowle Locks! (Finished image after Editing)
As always, a photo each day for 365 days. All shot and edited using Apps on my iPhone 5.
The photo was taken using the camera App Huemore for iPhone, saved as a TIFF file before any editing. The original image can be found below.
First of all I used an app called Leonardo to edit the image. This was done by adjusting the Colour Vibrance, Clarity, Brightness, Hue, Saturation. I also boosted the Sharpness and Shadow Detail of the picture. Next I used the app Alien Sky to apply a filter called Sci-Fi to the image to darken the sky a little. I then used the same app to add a couple of effects to the picture, the first was called Ion Flare and second was the Halo around the Flare. Being able to apply multiple flares and effects in one layer without having to render the image after each effect, is one of the new and really welcome features of the upcoming version of the app that I am lucky enough to be advance testing at the moment. Finally I used the app Laminar to apply a Polarizer FX and the Snap Stack frame to the image.
The original photo was taken today near to the village of Knowle. The image is a view of Knowle Locks. These Locks of which there are Five in the Knowle Lock's complex, form one of the widest points of the northern section of the Grand Union Canal. This is before it reaches the more narrow stretch of the Birmingham area of the Canal system.
