The town of Seligman lies on the old Route 66 between the cities of Kingman and Williams. It was bypassed by Interstate 40 in 1978 and is now primarily a stop off for tourists touring the old Main Street of America. I took a short detour here on my way from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon on the first full day of my US road trip. The town is said to be the inspiration for Radiator Springs, the setting of the 2006 Pixar animated film "Cars".
