Carry a cell phone on you at all times

 

Make it very clear to the stalker that you are not interested.

 

Don't try to reason with them.

 

Save everything the stalker sends you and record when and where you found it.

 

Keep a journal to document all contacts and incidents, along with the time, date and other relevant information.

 

Keep your records in a safe place and make a copy to leave in another location.

 

Treat any and all threats as serious, and report them to the police, every time, even if the police don't seem very interested.

 

Vary your travel times and routes.
