Uros “Perry” Perich è un musicista, cantante e pianista sloveno noto al grande pubblico per le sue magistrali interpretazioni delle canzoni che hanno scritto la “golden age” del blues, del soul e del jazz. Finora Perry ha suonato in ben tre continenti, Europa, America e Africa. Tra i tanti grandi artisti che l’hanno influenzato, come Nat King Cole, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, Otis Redding, Hank Crawford, David Fathead Newman e Quincy Jones spicca, indubbiamente, il leggendario Ray Charles, cui ha dedicato diversi dischi. Il suo stile vocale, lo swing, il modo di suonare il piano colpisce ed entusiasma il pubblico, proprio come l’indimenticabile “The Genius”. La calda e rara voce black fanno di Uros Perry una vera eccezione tra i cantanti bianchi. Ad Ascona porterà sul palco il suo “Tribute to Ray Charles”, che vede la partecipazione della Ujo Orchestra e delle coriste tedesche The Divettes.
Uros “Perry” Perich is a Slovenian musician, singer and pianist who became well known for his great interpretations of songs from the golden age of blues, soul and jazz. So far, Perry has already performed on three continents: Europe, America and even Africa. Amongst all the great artists who have inspired him, such as Nat King Cole, Aretha Franklin Billie Holiday, Otis Redding, Hank Crawford, David Fathead Newman and Quincy Jones, the legendary Ray Charles, to whom he dedicated several albums surely has inspired him the most. His way of singing, swinging and playing piano always thrills the audience, just like the unforgettable “The Genius”. The warm and rare black voice makes Uros Perry a real exception among the white singers. In Ascona Uros Perry will bring on stage his "Tribute to Ray Charles", with the participation of the Ujo Orchestra and the German singers The Divettes.
