Remembering

Remember when the summer went on forever?

 

Remember running and playing for hours on end?

 

Remember when your biggest concern was what activities should you fill your days with?

 

Remember sand between your toes?

 

Remember the feel of the hot sun off your golden skin?

 

Remember listening to the radio for hours, waiting for your favorite song?

 

Remember the joy of baseball?

 

Remember the Radio Flyer?

 

I always get a little sad as summer comes to a close. I am feeling it more so tonight. My daughter starts 3rd grade tonight. I have more grey in my hair than ever. I see the big 40 coming at me in 2013.

 

Where has the time gone? So much to remember. I hope there are more memories to come.
