Draconis wisteria

Year of the Dragon: June

 

This month's dragon is based on the beautiful hanging flowers of a wisteria plant which I've always adored. I had this idea for a wisteria dragon back at the start of the year and almost made it as February's dragon. I decided to wait until i had a more fleshed out vision though, and I'm glad I did!

 

I love doing organic, plant inspired builds like this. I find the chaotic and semi random nature of roots and branches very freeing to sculpt.

 

I hope you all enjoy the finished product! We're at the halfway point now, let's see if I can keep it up...
