Blue Nervana
Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth. - Buddha
In 7th grade I had the chance to tell my teacher what was going on at home, and I almost did. I had a chance to get away from it, but I was too scared to do anything, to make the right move. My Humanities teacher Mr. W was also our drama teacher and wanted to put on a play called Is Anybody Listening? Does Anybody Care? He encouraged us to write our own pieces on issues we were dealing with. Kids wrote about drugs, peer pressure, sex, and divorce. I was so tired of fighting everything that I was feeling, so tired of covering up and feeling worthless that before I knew it I had written a piece about what was going on at home.
Jaime, is this true? Is this going on at home? Is this happening to you?
To me? Nah Mr. W, it's not me. I just wrote it.
