Just Rust
I know that most of us have probably seen a "rust" shot or two here on Flickr before. I've found them to be quiet interesting, and the abstractness of them especially appealing, but hadnt really tried it myself until this week. It proves that in the course of learning, there's a "first" of everything.... hence, my first rust :) This mottled aqua color is one of my favorites, and I think a great contrast with the dark, rich color of the rust. The peeling paint's color is nature-made, and a result of long-term weathering. This is one example of some of the new things I've been attempting recently, and I'm fairly pleased with the results so far.
Had a great opportunity to visit a small, local salvage yard of sorts, and snapped several that I'm pretty excited about! I'll be uploading them in the near future. So if you like rust - especially on old classic autos, stay tuned! :)
