Lowering the Elevation

Documented for future reference: three short straps (yellow) connect two eyebolts on the bottom flange and a fourth is connected in the centre, forming a sort of "yoke." This fourth (heavy, green & black) strap is wrapped around the front beam several times, and unravelled in a controlled manner. During this time, only the back two of the four lifting straps are attached to the crane hook, and the gantry is slowly moved towards the front of the payload.
