After talking with Nolen, we decided I should follow the route of making this font into a san-serif. The letters started with the 'K' which one of my teachers drew on a chalkboard. Despite having already decided on a different direction, I couldn't forget its shape so I decided to switch directions and base an entire font off this one letter.
