Courthouse Mountain, Chimney Rock, Colorado [Explored]

Back to another image from my Colorado trip... We spent some hours pre-sunset over in the Owl Creek Pass, Rowdy Lake area before racing our way back to this iconic spot below Chimney Rock/Courthouse Mountain. Several photogs had already arrived including Jerry Patterson and Ryan Smith, but everyone got along really well. It was kinda funny....the light just starting exploding as soon as we drove up and setup. I have another image from here I'll share eventually where the clouds starting getting some nice pinkish hues, but I actually ended up liking this image a bit better. Something about the yellows of the aspen leaves and mountain contrasting with the grays/blues of the sky. Probably part of that color theory that I'm apparently yet to fully understand. I guess I just like "pretty pictures". That's probably a disappointing discussion for another day...

Also, it doesn't really look it, but this was a stitch from 5 vertical shots, so it's got some considerable detail to it, about 46Mpix in size. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
