Psychedelic Lunarscape with Celestial Noise

A wanning gibbous moon taken through the left eyepiece of my Bushnell 12x 50mm binoculars with a field of view of 272 ft. at 1000 yds. avoiding any vignetting by the eyepiece itself amazingly without any type of stabilization of the binoculars themselves. I was using a tripod for my digital camera, but it was almost more of a hinderence than assistance to the operation of aligning the camera's optics with the image being produced by my binoculars.

The difficulty existed mostly in the alignment of the two optical instruments to get a clear image, but also in the stabilization for the nighttime exposure and initially to find the moon in the digital camera and the binoculars. When you are viewing them as a human, it is easy to find the moon in the binoculars, but when trying to align the image to the focal points of the camera and getting the correct focus from the binoculars and the digital camera while zooming on the camera and keeping the moon in correct view WITHOUT any serious duplex tripod, it is NOT very easy!
