If you've ever wondered if those Pacific Island sunsets are as good as they make them out to be in the movies, the answer is, in fact, yes they very much are. This was so painterly, such an utterly lush sky, that it was difficult to believe it was real. The truth is, I wasn't that crazy about going to Hawaii… Scotty had to work hard to talk me into it. But moments like this really did justify the decision to go.
Of course, I'm still feeling the adventure pang, so we're heading up to Sonoma this coming weekend. Finally! Anyone know of a cheap place to stay in SF for one night? We mis-planned, and we're needing to sort out our plans for the night of the third. Dumb, I know… I'm sure everything is booked already due to independence day.
