porch finds

Susan and I scoured thrift and antique shops the past couple of weeks. Not only are we beginning to gather wedding decor, but my front porch sorely needed some attention. I spent all day Sunday potting in the garden. I feel so fortunate to finally live in a place where I can successfully help plants flourish.

 

I was cycling home from work last week and passed a guy who sells succulents out of his front garden. I ended up talking to him for ages, and he gave me a box full of cuttings for five bucks, which is what you see here, now planted with love! Also, I paid five dollars for that fabulous chair. It was a grand weekend.
